What to expect in upcoming Fitbit Sense?

A latest addition to Fitbit family, this is new Fitbit Sense is almost ready to ship out. And this latest edition is price tagged at $329.95 USD direct from Fitbit. I own a Fitbit Versa and it has been a perfect watch for me specially for light runs, walks, hikes. But as the smart watches are evolving with every new releases, the Fitbit competitors are coming up with ever ending new features like ECG, blood pressure monitor, Blood oxygen monitor etc.

Fitbit Sense is the answer to the all other smart watches from the competitors. What you get for the price is same square form factor watch with much more additional health monitoring tools added to it. Alright lets see what we have in this latest gadget in addition to the features already in existing Fitbit watches:

– ECG Functionality

– Skin Temperature Sensors (on wrist)

– High/Low Heart Rate Notifications

– Breathing Rate (per minute), while you sleep

– New Stress Management Tracking

– EDA Scan app for tracking electrodermal activity

– Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Tracking

– new PurePulse 2.0 optical HR sensor (completely revamped)

– Google Assistant (previously had Amazon Alexa, still does have that)

– ability to take calls from wrist using mic/speaker (planned Winter 2020-21)

– New AMOLED display with integrated ambient light sensor

– Display is Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and bezel is polished stainless steel

– Changed accessory bands to have better quick release system

Equipped with all these bells and whistles, Fitbit is competing against smart watch front runners like Apple iWatch or Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. Fitbit also claims 6 days of battery life if you do not use always on screen. I think Fitbit is moving towards right direction with high end feature rich smart watch catering towards health conscious consumers.
